Dear Friends in Dhamma
We would like to inform you that we plan to keep the FIVE PRECEPTS CEREMONY live via internet for the Vesak Day this year.
If you are interested in participating in this year’s ceremony or if you are a New Buddhist who has taken 5 precepts on the ‘Ask a Monastic’ forum in the last 12 months; the Buddhist Society of WA would like to invite you to participate on the Vesak Day – Sunday 03rd May 2020, conducted ONLINE by Ajahn Brahm at Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre, in Nollamara (Perth) Western Australia.
Vesak is the most important of the Buddhist festivals and is celebrated on the full moon in May. It signifies Buddha’s birthday, and, for some Buddhists, also marks his enlightenment and passing away.
On 03 May 2020, there will be a live broadcast of the welcoming ceremony of New Buddhists (Local and Overseas) at 5.00pm (West Australian time).
Kindly inform us of your ability to participate in the ceremony ONLINE with an email to Lucky at asec@bswa.org. Please provide your contact phone number and your country of residence, in order to send out a scanned personalised certificate from Ajahn Brahm as a souvenir.
The full days program can be found here. Please also visit the events pages AM and PM.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries regarding this event. Thank you.
