Word of the Buddha (Full Series – parts 1 to 12) | 2016 to 2019

Part 1: Ajahn Brahm is taking a classic text compiled by the Venerable Nyanatiloka titled the “Word of the Buddha” which provides a staged summary of the Buddha Dhamma. But Ajahn Brahm is heavily revising the text to bring it up to date with contemporary English language usage.

Part 2: a series dealing with the Word of the Buddha anthology. This is the second part of the the series.

Part 4: Ajahn Brahm takes the 4th class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka. This class focuses on understanding the Fourth Noble Truth.

Part 5: Ajahn Brahm takes the 5th class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” compiled by Venerable Nyanatiloka.

Part 6: Ajahn Brahm takes the 6th class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka.

Part 7: Ajahn Brahm takes the 7th sutta class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka.

Part 8: Ajahn Brahm takes the 8th sutta class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka. This class focuses on right mindfulness, where one should direct their mindfulness and how the 5 hindrances affect our mindfulness.

Part 9: Ajahn Brahm takes the 9th sutta class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka.

Part 10: Ajahn Brahm takes the 10th sutta class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka. Ajahn Brahm discusses sutta 118 of the Majjhima Nikaya – Anapanasati Sutta: Mindfulness of Breathing. Read MN 118 – Anapanasati Sutta on Sutta Central.

Part 11: this is Ajahn Brahm’s 11th sutta class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka. This class focuses on The Eightfold Path, The Middle Way.

Part 12: this is Ajahn Brahm’s 12th sutta class working from the book “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka. This is the last of this series.

This is the last class for this series. Ajahn Brahm has decided to reteach this series i.e. once again revise the text “Word of the Buddha” by Venerable Nyanatiloka to bring it up to date with contemporary English language. You can find the latest series on our website here.
