Ajahn Sujato teaches us that the important thing with meditation is not so much about the method of meditation, but the attitude we bring to it. For example, if you get stressed, Ajahn Sujato encourages us to look for the causes of the stress rather than trying to keep on doing the thing that creates the problem and then try to fix it by meditating.
