You don’t have to stick to one type of meditation practice in one session. Ajahn Nitho teaches; that you can alternate between two meditations, such as breathing meditation and metta meditation to take you deeper into stillness i.e. you can use breath meditation to stabilise your mind and Metta meditation to create positive feelings and emotions and to lift your mind.
