The Stables on Stocker Rd
The stables has been upcycled to become a new home for the BSWA sangha.
The stables building is situated on the eastern boundary of 48 Stocker Rd, adjacent to Wundong Regional Park. Originally built in the 1980s, the structure was still in good shape having been built by a master builder. With 5 stalls for horses, showers and toilets, a storage area and saddle room there was plenty to work with. Ajahn Santutthi has designed and built a new home for the BSWA sangha and friends. Each “bedroom kuti” has a separate entrance and the front of the building provides a kitchen & meals area and a large patio area.
The stables conversion is now finished and is home to Ajahn Santutthi, Ajahn J.R. and Anagarika Rob. There is a spare room for sangha and lay guests.
