The Dhammasara Community would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all our sponsors, donors, supporters, volunteers and everyone who has contributed in many ways to the successful Kathina Ceremony on 15 Oct 2017. Our main hall were filled with guests who came to witness this auspicious requisite-offering ceremony to the Bhikkhuni Sangha who spent the Rains Retreat at Dhammasara. They were also given the opportunity to participate in the rice alms-round and a guided bush walk.
The Kathina cloth accepted by the Bhikkhuni Sangha was immediately cut and sewn into a robe by the nuns. This new robe was presented to the nominated Bhikkhuni during the Kathina Spreading ceremony that evening.
Special mention given to the Singapore supporters who flew in a week prior to the ceremony to help us in the preparation and other monastery work. They were joined with others who came from Jhana Grove to participate in offering of the main Kathina cloth to the Bhikkhuni Sangha.
