Firstly, some functions described are not available in quick reply mode, please activate advanced mode (Go to the Advanced button at the bottom right of the editor window) to use them
Creating a Link
- Copy the desired url of the desired link
- In the post input field select/highlight the text that you want the link to appear on
- Leaving the text selected click on the link button in the in the menu bar
- Into the resulting dialog box paste the url from step 1 and click OK
From a location on the web
- Copy the desired url of the desired image
- In the post input field place the cursor where want the image to appear
- Click on the Image button in the in the menu bar
- Into the resulting dialog box paste the url from step 1 and click OK
Method 1:
If you have an image on your hard drive that you want to post in the forum, you can use the attachments button (paperclip icon). Attachment is however not available in 'Groups'.
(Note that you can also upload your image to 'Dhammaloka Albums'. In the top menu select Community/Albums. In that area you can create any amount of personal and public albums and upload the images from you computer.)
Method 2:
When you view images in your album at Dhammaloka it will have the URL and BBcode displayed next to it. Copy this BBcode using it as step 1 in the process described above. This method works in 'Groups'.
(Tip: you can send images from your Dhammaloka albums directly to any social groups (i.e. Groups) that you belong to…)
Posting YouTube and Vimeo Clips
- In the forum input field place the cursor where want the video to appear
- Click on the YouTube or Vimeo button in the menu bar
- This will create the appropriate tagging in the input field
- Paste you video link within these tags
Dhammaloka supports Soundcloud. This is a very convenient way to put your audio into 'the cloud' and share it with others. All you need is to create a free account and upload your audio files (any format). Your audio file will be displayed in a 'player' on it's own page at Soundcloud
- In the post input field place the cursor where want the audio player to appear
- Click on the Soundcloud button (orange) in the menu bar
- This will create the appropriate tagging in the input field
- Paste you Soundcloud audio link within these tags
