Some years ago I was afraid that I would lose my car. I have an adapted car, that I can control completely with my hands. It gives me a lot of freedom to go anywhere I want to. The problem is that it's old (18 years). So it won't probably last very long.
Some years ago I really feared the moment that I would have to get rid of it because it would not pass the MOT test. This fear is subsiding. I accepted that I will lose it some day and that I won't be able to replace it. Although public transport is far from ideal, it is doable. I am slowly preparing tor the day that my car won't be there anymore, by arranging other ways of transportation (amongst others getting a pass for group transportation, especially for people with a disability. It is less convenient but I am sure that when time comes, I will adapt to it.
