This is the first time that members of the Buddhist Society of Western Australia will be organising to celebrate Vesak in the South-West.

Local Buddhists have invited Ajahn Nitho, a Norwegian monk who has trained with Ajahn Brahm for over ten years at Bodhinyana Monastery in Serpentine. Ajahn Nitho will lead events and teach meditation and offer practical teachings on how to live a happy life.
Ajahn Nitho has kindly agreed to come down south from the 17th to 19th May to offer teachings and help the local community celebrate Vesak Day – commemorating the birth, Awakening and final passing of the Buddha.
