The WA government has just announced the latest Covid restriction:

Public health and social measures will come into effect for the Perth and Peel region at 6pm tonight (23 December 2021) until 6am Tuesday, 28 December 2021.

These public health and social measures include:

Mandatory mask wearing for all public indoor settings and on public transport;

Certain high-risk large-scale events, such as music festivals, will be cancelled and nightclubs will be closed; and dancing is banned except for weddings; and

Anyone who has been in Perth and Peel since December 16 and enters another regional area is required to wear a mask as per requirements in Perth-Peel. Travel to remote Aboriginal communities remain restricted.

If you are visiting any location within BSWA or attending a retreat in Jhana Grove, please note the following:

  • Check if you have been to an exposure site and if you have, follow the corresponding health advice issued for that location
  • Scan the QR code for contact tracing on your smartphone or provide details on the sign in sheet
  • Wear a mask if you are indoor within those premises or if you are unable to social distance outside

Otherwise, dana offering in monasteries, weekend events in Dhammaloka among others will run as planned and people visiting must comply with the restrictions. As for the retreat in Jhana Grove, please contact the retreat organiser to understand if there is a change in plan.
