The Buddhist Society of Western Australia held its Annual General Meeting on 22nd June 2024.

Our Committee Reports, including our audited Financial Statement, were shared ahead of our AGM. This provided an opportunity to all our members to have a glimpse into the 2023 activities undertaken by the 2023 Committee.

Thank you to all who attended the AGM, and also to those who couldn’t attend, who offered their apologies and proxies.

Two items were put to a vote at the AGM:

  1. A Special Resolution was passed to change the BSWA (Inc.) Constitution Clause 12(4)(e) to reword it to imply that the Paid for Lifetime membership is for either Full or Associate membership.
  2. A resolution to increase membership fees from $50 to $65 per annum and from $990 to $1300 for lifetime membership was passed (please note that membership fee increase will be in effect from 1 January 2025).
