FAQ
Where are the classes held?: Dhammaloka City Centre (18 Nanson Way, Nollamara). Meditation Hall, and two rooms either side of the Meditation Hall.
Time and Day:
Sundays 9:00am to 10:00am – 4 classes: Pre-primary/ Junior (4-6 years), Middle (7-9 years), Secondary & Senior (13-18 years)
What is the minimum age to qualify for enrolment?: 4-6 years
Cost: Dhamma is taught free of charge (as it is priceless).
Other requirements: One parent or guardian is required to be a BSWA member (Full or Associate). Information on applying for membership can be found here.
Application process: Parents/guardians must fill in an application for their child to attend the school via the link here.
Style of teaching: Teaching will take place in an informal setting, accompanied by age-appropriate activities. Meditation (or silent time) is encouraged for all aged groups. The teachings are based on the Early Buddhist Texts (EBT), which reflect the authentic words of the Lord Buddha.
Dress code: Modest and comfortable clothing so children can relax and enjoy their time at the school.
Who are the teachers?: Our teachers are caring volunteers, many of them parents or past parents themselves, who are accredited by the BSWA Spiritual Education Group (SEG). Each teacher also holds a valid Working With Children Card, so you can feel confident your children are in safe hands.
